i2 International Institute of Education founded in 2011 is committed to providing 3~12-year-olds with FT taught English classes . Currently, i2 Offers quality international education to tens of thousands of students in 12 provinces, 18 cities and 92 directly-operated campuses all across China .As of 2018, we have nearly 600 FTs in our i2 family. In addition to honors such as “Most Influential Foreign Language Training Organization”, “Most Influential Educational Group” and “2017 Famous Children's English Education Brand”, i2 was also granted “TEFL in China” FT training qualifications by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs in 2018.
In order to inspire a global outlook in students’ minds, through giving them access to internationalized language learning resources here in China, i2 strives to keep up with the most advanced pedagogical concepts in the world. In early 2017, the “iBilingual International Elite Growth Project”, co-developed with numerous domestic and foreign experts, was launched after an almost year-long preparation. It is a program aimed at enhancing students’ international competitiveness, by cultivating their 5C capabilities (Cross-cultural understanding, Communication, Creativity, Critical thinking and Collaboration). Based on the globally sophisticated Macmillan graded curriculum system, it offers a more diversified course structure that, in addition to the language arts classes and PBL (phenomenon-based learning), also includes family education and social responsibility goals.
Original comprehensive textbooks from Macmillan, one of the world's Top 3 English Language Teaching (ELT) publishers, are used in small group 4-6 classes taught by foreign teachers, where the cultivation of 5C abilities and English language skills are integrated。 By recreating a native English learning environment and conducting classes in a lively and vivid manner, and through the facilitation of group discussions, situational interactions and role-play, students are naturally motivated to acquire new language skills。 Using this approach, it’s much easier for all children to form the habit of naturally thinking and speaking in English。
Originating from Finland, PBL is one of the most advanced teaching methods in the world。 PBL emphasizes interdisciplinary teaching themed after relevant life phenomena, such as environmental protection, taking the subway, shopping, dental hygiene, sports & health。 Correspondingly, teaching can be done in parks, metro stations, supermarkets, hospitals, gyms and so on。 Treating the actual world as our classroom can not only apply the English learnt to life, but can also build students’ 5C capabilities。
This course is mainly designed for parents, and employs various lecture and salon-style classes. Learning topics utilize different themes based on students’ respective learning stages. Combined with the development of i2’s curriculum, we also pride ourselves in equipping parents with clear educational concepts and advanced teaching methods. In this way, we help direct parents’ attentions toward their children’s communication skills and cooperative spirit, in order to explore their children’s full potential, develop their critical thinking strategies and aid the learning ability and personality growth. In short, we strive to assist them in creating the brightest possible for their children.
This program is combined with international elites’ must-have 5C ability training system. In it, children are divided into different age groups and provided with opportunities to participate in social activities featuring museums, hospitals, and environmental NGOs, so that they may gain life experiences, and acquire specialized social awareness. Communicating with, and learning from, different social groups can help stimulate the kids’ creativity, awareness, empathy, love and gratitude, and ultimately can enhance their social leadership and ability to influence others.
